Primary Task: This ministry provides learning experiences for people of all ages so that they may grow in understanding of the gospel and become better equipped for daily living.
WORSHIP MINISTRY
Primary Task: This ministry works with the Pastor and leaders of music to ensure that our congregation provides opportunities for vital worship that will help us develop and strengthen our relationship with God and help us to live more faithfully. Opportunities for choir members, musicians, ushers, and those interested in visual and dramatic arts are welcome.
STEWARDSHIP MINISTRY
Primary Task: This committee plans and promotes a comprehensive program of stewardship, which includes stewardship education, proportionate giving and tithing and a Christian lifestyle of sharing.
EVANGELISM MINISTRY
Primary Task: Sharing the Good News! The Evangelism Team is committed to prayer and seeking God's guidance as they reach out to people-both within our congregation and outside our walls. This team focuses on receiving people with care and concern and helping them develop a relationship with God.
Primary Task: This group leads us in our involvement in social issues and guides us in responding to social issues. This team keeps us informed, raises our consciousness, and advocates for peace and justice for all people.
HEALTH & WELFARE
Primary Task: This group studies the concerns, hopes and needs of people needing healthcare in the community and congregation especially those with disabilities. This group is our liaison with organizations and people who minister through health and welfare programs.
STATUS AND ROLE OF WOMEN
Primary Task: This group ensures the continuing commitment to full, equal responsibility and participation of women in the total life and mission of the congregation and brings to the congregation's attention women's issues in the broader community.
RELIGION AND RACE
Primary Task: To keep before the congregation and the community the issues and values of racial and ethnic pluralism so that people may better understand and appreciate one another, and work to eliminate racism and ethnocentrism within the United Methodist Church and the community.
COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS
Primary Task: This work area involves learning about the surrounding community and opens volunteer opportunities available to people of all ages.
Primary Task: This group has the very important assignment of providing support ministries for students who are away at college and students and college personnel in our community. This group also ensures our support of United Methodist colleges and campus ministry units.
CHURCH/SUNDAY SCHOOL MINISTRY
Primary Task: This ministry involves teaching the word of God through Bible study. We welcome class attendees, and teachers, and volunteers. We provide exciting classes explaining the word for all ages.
COMMUNICATONS MINISTRY
Primary Task: This ministry is involved in marketing, and public relations for the church. It is the eyes and ears inside and outside of the church. It makes the vision of the future come alive through advertising to the community about various events within the church. Let us know about any event that you want to commercialize.
TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTER ROOM MINISTRY
Primary Task: This ministry provides a safe Christian environment for participants to learn computer skills. Participants will learn to develop computer skills and increase their understanding of various software applications so they can achieve computer literacy as a life-skill in the ever-changing digital society.
HISTORY MINISTRY
Primary Task: This ministry learns the history of the church and tells the story to others. Volunteers are needed for assistance in explaining the meanings of the "stained glass windows", and coordinating church tours for explaining history to visitors. This ministry is an excellent work area for you to assist with recording and documenting the history of our church.
HOSPITALITY/KITCHEN MINISTRY
Primary Task: This ministry assists with any events regarding the use of the kitchen such as various fellowship meals that represent the church.Volunteers needed with dedication, love, and diligence and versatility to work with all personalities while having fun and making the experience one to remember.
CHURCH LIBRARY MINISTRY
Primary Task: The Mission of the library is to provide materials to enhance Bible study and other ministries in the church. We offer a wide variety of materials including inspirational books to a children's library. We strive to meet the needs of the congregation and the community.
