Special Teamers. Persons on this level eat regular meals, but abstain from sweets, carbonated (sodas) or other sweeten beverages or any other type of junk food such as chips.
Prayer focus: During the fast each participant should have at least four (4) prayer petitions: a) a prayer for Trinity UMC (the church); b) a prayer for the community; c) a prayer for your family; and d) a prayer for yourself. Each participant can have additional prayer petitions, but have at least one in each area.
Encourage each person in the household who can to participate in the fast at some level. Fasting is easier when everyone participates.

The following prayers focus on three specific subjects: the manifestation of miracles, incarcerated youth and adults and a prayer for young adults (approximately 18 years old through 39 years old). You can pray one prayer or all three each day of the fast. Below is a suggested schedule for these prayers.

A Prayer for the Manifestation of Miracles
Heavenly Father, You are great and You do wondrous things. You alone are God. How great are Your signs and how mighty Your wonders are. Your glory is above the heavens. Lord, we thank you for salvation, the greatest miracle of all. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus to bring us hope, health and healing.
Heavenly Father, You have ministered with signs and wonders and various miracles. Therefore, we believe that You can and will perform miracles in our lives today. We expect miracles to manifest in the earth for those who are in need of them. We expect diseases to be cured, broken relationships to be mended, financial breakthroughs to occur and those who are held captive in their minds and souls to be set free. Father, we trust that Your power and authority will be witnessed by all nations. By the authority of Jesus Christ that is in me, I command (names of people who need any miracles) to be healed.
Heavenly Father, hear our prayers for miracles. Help me to trust in You and not lean to my own understanding. Lord, please open my eyes to Your calling for the miraculous. Lord, help me to remember that whatever, I ask in the Name of Jesus, You will do it so that You may be glorified in Your Son. Help me to believe in the impossible and look to You for healing deliverance and prosperity. Father, cause Your miracles to be experienced through our families, church and community.
Heavenly Father, forgive those persons who have doubted Your word and Your works. Forgive them for believing in You, but denying Your power to perform the miraculous. Forgive me for not believing that all things are possible with You. Lord, lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil.
Lord, You are Holy, Holy, Holy. You are the God who is, who was and who is to come. You are the almighty. You are the alpha and omega. Now to You, the King eternal, immortal and invisible, to You who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for Incarcerated Youth and Adults
Heavenly Father, You are God Almighty. How excellent is Your name in all the earth. You have set Your glory above the heavens. You are gracious and full of compassion. You are good to all and Your tender mercies are over all of Your works. Thank You for Your love and protection for the youth and adults who are incarcerated. Thank You for extending Your salvation to them. Thank You for Your mercy and loving kindness towards them.
Lord, we proclaim Your glory to manifest in the lives of youth and adults who are incarcerated. We confess that as they abide in Your word, the truth will make them free. Lord, we believe that when they repent of their sins, You will restore the joy of Your salvation and uphold them by Your generous Spirit.
Heavenly Father, let your mercy and grace prevail for those who are guilty and have not repented. Lord, perform a miracle for those who are innocent and set them free. Please give them patience and endurance to wait for you to act in their lives. Comfort the families of those who are incarcerated. Surround them with persons who will provide support and encouragement. Heal the hearts of children who long for a parent(s) who has been incarcerated. Lord, remove any bitterness and anger from those incarcerated and their families.
Let Your justice roll down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream in the prison systems in this country. We declare that Your justice will prevail for those who have been wrongfully charged, wrongfully convicted and wrongfully imprisoned.
Forgive our criminal justice system for wrongfully charging innocent people. Forgive those who have wrongfully judged them. Forgive those of us who have contributed by helping people make bad choices by not teaching them Your ways. Lord help me to forgive others.
Lord, You alone are God. You are the eternal King. To You be honor and glory forever and ever. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

A Prayer for Young Adults
Heavenly Father, our souls bless You with all that is within us. We bless Your Holy name! We remember You and all of Your benefits. Gracious Father, we thank you for young adults. Thank you for blessing them with energy and ambition. Thank You for providing for their spiritual, emotional, financial and physical needs. We confess that the young adults are led by the Holy Spirit and that they have the mind of Christ. They will succeed and prosper in all that they do and all things will be possible to them through Christ who strengthens them.
Lord give our young adults the wisdom and desire to put You first in their lives. Stir their hearts to work in ministries by reminding them that their needs are met when they attend to the need of others. Holy Spirit, comfort our single young adults who may experience loneliness and help the Trinity Church family to provide the extended family that they may desire. Bless those single adults who are also the heads of families and help us to provide a support system for them.
Heavenly Father, we declare that young adults will love and embrace our seasoned adults and learn from the wisdom and knowledge that they provide. Help our seasoned adults to not treat the young adults as children. Help our young adults to not disregard and devalue the worth of seasoned adults. We ask that You bridge any gaps between generations that include young adults and seasoned adults. Let respect for one another permeate the hearts of persons of all generations. Help all of us to realize and understand the differences in generations and the different views that we have. Help all of us to treat each other as adults. Lord, help Trinity to be an example to the community of intergenerational harmony in the Body of Christ.
Loving Father, You are a God of forgiveness, graciousness and mercy. You are slow to anger and rich in unfailing love. Forgive us as a congregation for not being sensitive the specific needs of young adults.
Lord, You made the Heavens Your throne. We praise you and bless your Holy name. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
